My counseling office is outside a classroom (and backs to other offices front to back) which is used for various small and large group classes. In order to work effectively and focus when I'm not meeting with students, noise canceling headphones would be helpful (while writing recommendation letters, answering emails, engaging in online professional development, etc.). Mid-pandemic, our school is not allowing parents/guardians on our campus and so when meeting with these adults, we must meet virtually. In order that these conversations remain confidential to others outside my office, the use of headphones is necessary.
