An Exciting and Engaging Classroom Library!
Funded Oct 12, 2021Thank you so much for your donation. This new library was able to further my students knowledge in fluency, fiction comprehension, non-fiction comprehension, phonological awareness, phonics, and vocabulary. This new library was really able to help them with their independent reading skills. They now have a wider variety of books to choose from on their independent reading level.
Students can read the new books at home to use for their reading log assignments. They also use them during silent reading time. The students also really enjoy using these books during literature circles. It gives them the opportunity to enjoy and discuss the texts with their peers.
The students with disabilities and ESL students really benefit from this library. In Middle school, most of the books are on a 6-12 grade reading level. The students with disabilities and ESL students didn't have many books to read on their reading level. Now they have books on various reading level to meet their educational needs.”
