This year we were faced with a new challenge as teachers - tackling virtual and socially distanced in-person instruction while closing learning gaps and staying safe from Covid-19. We strive to continue our learning every day despite the obstacles faced due to our "new normal". Please help our class to continue to progress our knowledge! We work hard together everyday as a school family to overcome the challenges our students face and be successful in the classroom. My students are hardworking and want to be their best. Covid has hit families very hard financially. That is especially true for my students, many of which were already living in poverty before the pandemic. This project will provide basic supplies for my 2nd grade students that are needed in order for them to participate in our daily learning. This will relieve families of the financial burden of purchasing school supplies that they are unable to afford and foster educational equity within our classroom. The supplies in this project will be used on a daily/regular basis by the students and will contribute to their academic success.
