Ever open a book and find yourself imagining all the details of your reading? Well in my classroom I would like to provide my students with that same magical experience. The materials I have requested for my classrooms will provide my 6th and 7th grade special education students the opportunity to explore reading on a whole new level. Theses novels will be placed in our "Reading Nook" where students will have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful world of reading while sitting in an area that is comfortable and relaxing. The best part is that while reading these novels they will also be reading about characters just like them. That they connect with on a personal level. And that is the greatest gift you can provide to a child.
