The materials I am requesting would allow my students with flexible seating options in my 5th grade social studies classroom. As a teacher, I know that not all students have the same preferred learning style. This goes beyond their preference for cognitive learning. Students have a variety of preferences when it comes to their physical placement in the classroom as well. Research shows that, "dynamic seating 'affects body and mind and soul (Patterson, 2021).'" Another report found stability balls improve math test scores considerably. Flexible seating would provide my students with options for learning that fit them best.
