As a school counselor, I work with students individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings to teach them how to manage their emotions. The resources I have chosen; self-management lessons, emotional regulation games, and activities, and coping tools, will help to teach my students critical skills needed for their overall health and well-being. A child's ability to regulate their emotions affects their family, friends, academic success, long-term mental health, and their ability to thrive in the world. Through emotional regulation, a child learns resiliency and how to tackle the challenges in their lives.
