I would like to send a HUGE THANK YOU to the donors for supporting my students with these amazing materials. It will greatly support critical, analytical, mathematical and problem-solving opportunities that will contribute to project-based learning opportunities. Many of my students experience sensory challenges and the opportunity to be able to have access to these materials will greatly support their needs to make learning engaging, fun and challenging on many different entry points. As a special education teacher having access to resources is vital to create the most fulfilling, engaging and learning experiences for my children. I’m very appreciative of this donation. Aside from myself, I know my students will be sincerely thankful for your generous donation.”

These materials will make a difference in my students’ learning to support social emotional needs. The past year has been a tumultuous and traumatic experience for all children. The use of hands on tools such as Legos support social interaction, creativity, critical and analytical thinking and open-ended conversations. This can further support connections to academic content areas: ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies. A big take away for students is an opportunity to display creativity using their hands which has become a bit limited with so much focus on digital.
