We Strive to Organize in K5
Funded Dec 13, 2021Thank you for your kind donation to our "Strive to Organize" project!
The scholars were excited to have their own chair pocket so that they have a place to put their materials and supplies at their table spots. The chair pockets are helping them to learn better organization skills and saving us time, because they can go right to their table spot and have their supplies ready. It allows for them to have greater independence as well. They keep track of their own supplies and what they need. If they have an assignment to finish they have it right there with them to work on when they have time.
We greatly appreciate the addition of the personal chair pockets to our classroom!
Thank you again for your generous donations.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Bradley
Game On!
Funded Dec 1, 2021Thank you so much for contributing to our "Game On" project!!
My scholars were SO excited when I pulled out all the new games! They could not wait to play them.
The scholars are using the games to help with social skills such as turn-taking and cooperation skills.
Along with improving social skills the games are helping to improve academic skills such as counting, matching objects, object identification and color identification.
We use them a lot in small groups and on Fun Fridays they often choose to pull out the games. Besides the intended learning targets, these games have added lots of smiles, laughter and fun to our room.”

Ms. Bradley

Funded May 27, 2021Thank you so much for supporting my Sensational Sensory Set Up project. Most of the resources, materials/items and activities have safely arrived for my classroom. My scholars are using the new resources for help in self regulation and mindfulness practices. Some materials/items are used throughout the day for scholars who need sensory input items to help them keep focused and calm. Others are set up in our Reflection Zone area for when a scholar is upset and/or having a hard time calming down. Scholars go to the Reflection Zone area and find what they need to help them reset. Finally, some materials are being used as a whole class to work on mindfulness and self regulation techniques.
The scholars were very excited and interested to see all the new items and discovering ways to use them to help themselves. These materials, activities and items are helping our classroom be a more peaceful and engaging environment with scholars learning more about how to better manage their own behaviors. This is very important in the classroom environment and these learned self regulation techniques will continue to have a positive impact on scholars throughout their lives.
Your generous donations are very much appreciated and will keep on giving for years to come. Thank you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Bradley
