In recent years, the teaching world has adapted to advancements in technology and leveraged these tools to help students in exciting ways! This is even true for physical education classrooms! A portable tablet can aid our classroom by tracking student performance and keeping class organized during many lessons in the gym. A tablet can also be used for the following during PE: tracking student progression, keeping up to date with lessons/units, classroom management apps (Team Shake, Class Dojo), performance/fitness tracking apps, showing examples, playing music, and making video lessons for online learning or to share with students and families. A tablet can be an investment that pays off throughout the school year whether students are in the gym or at home.
