Exciting news: I'm a first year middle school science teacher! This year I will be teaching at a Title I STEAM Magnet School. Throughout the year interactive notebooks will be a key tool to learning and engaging in science. I m requesting resources from Teachers Pay Teachers and group desk supplies - markers, paper, colored chalk markers - for their interactive science notebooks.
While it is important for them to use notebooks as a way to create and navigate successful learning tools, it is also important for me to supply them with the tools they need for this yearlong project. This project includes supplies for group desk supplies. These supplies will be used daily and greatly appreciated! Every day students student will use these supplies to create graphic organizers, tables, and creative notes.
These notes will reach all learning styles and levels. For example, if we are studying cells, students will first color and cut out each cell organelle. They will then paste the organelles in their notebook. Finally we will take color-coded notes as class to learn more about the organelles. Later when reviewing students will be able to match the organelle to its corresponding notes and activities by color.
