Many of the students at Central Middle School are impacted by some form of trauma that impacts their success in school. As students return to classrooms after a year of learning from home, I would like to provide our students with supplies they need in order to be organized for success. Expandable file folders are wonderful tools for containing papers and documents without the hassle of finding a hole puncher or papers falling out. Additionally, work will be less likely to be ruined by the elements (as most of our students walk to school, even when it rains), and the pencil pouches store pens, highlighters, and pencils and can be easily stored within a pocket of an expandable file. By providing organization and structure for our students, we can potentially lesson the impact of the trauma that they face by making sure that students can come to class prepared is a first step in ensuring a successful transition to middle school and becoming responsible students. A student who is well prepared and organized will be ready to learn.
