  • Radical Rug For Story Time!

    Funded Oct 3, 2022

I wanted to thank you so much for your generous contribution to my class. We were all so excited when the rug arrived in our classroom! The rug has served so many wonderful purposes in our classroom... So much more than I'd first imagined! It provides a community center for my students to do our morning meetings and have class discussions. The various colors provides students with their own special space that's just for them. We meet on our rug daily to go over our daily schedule and also for when I do read alouds with the class. We're able to use it for partner work and small group work throughout the day as well. It adds so much light and comfort to our classroom. I'll find students laying on it while they're doing their independent reading or rubbing their little hands on the soft material. It provides such a welcoming place for all to feel safe and wanted. Any of our daily tasks can be done using the rug or around the rug. The students help keep each other accountable for their personal spaces as well during clean up.

Once again, my class and I cannot thank you enough for the generous gift. I know that it will be a gift that I will use for many years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Carson Hembree

  • Little Listeners!

    Funded Oct 3, 2022

Thank you, thank you! Your gracious support has truly benefitted my students' growth.

The headphones that were given to us have been so helpful! The students get so excited when it's time to do listening to reading during Daily 5. It has also improved our focus and attention while reading, which supports their growth and learning! They have helped students with their tracking and reading fluency. Thank so much for your generous donation to my super students!

As I say every time, you all and your support truly creates better learning opportunities for students. This is a gift we cannot properly thank you with just words alone. So, I hope the pictures can try and bring a little bit of our thanks to you all.”

  • Chalk (Board) It Up!

    Funded Jul 21, 2022

Yet again, you care and support for students and their growth as learners is being felt in my classroom. We use the chalkboards all the time to work on our letter formation and handwriting. The second picture is of some students working on writing the letter "I". This is a big improvement from earlier in the year! All of these academic gains are due in part to your support and generosity. My class and I love working with these materials and engaging in fun, interactive methods for handwriting. Your generous donations have truly impacted my students and I in a positive way.

Thank you for all you do to continually help students and their teachers. You mean the world to us!”

  • Making Work Happen

    Funded Jul 21, 2022

Thank you all so much for the supplies to create workbooks! Your care and support for classrooms truly makes a positive impact on students' lives and their growth as learners; I cannot thank you enough.

These workbooks that my team and I created for students are aligned to their IEP goals and promote their academic independence. It is wonderful to see each scholar grab their workbook and engage in their activities. My team and I especially enjoy when students proudly show off their completed work to us, with big smiles coming from their happiness. This is all to say that these growth skills and accomplishments are thanks to your generous donations and support for students. You all are a hidden secret to their success.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Your continued support means the world to my students, teammates, and I.”

  • Stressful Situation? Simple Answer!

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

As with every project you all have so generously donated to, I am truly grateful for your support of my scholars along with their educational and social growth. These sensory fidgets and toys have benefitted my class. Students were able to use these sensory fidgets to help calm themselves during times of anxiety or stress; other students knew that these objects could be used to help them concentrate while completing their classwork. The photos I have attached are students having fun and showing how the objects can be fun and also provide sensory input. The ropes continue to be a class favorite!

All of your gracious support means the world to my students and I and I truly appreciate it.

    Thank you so much.”

  • Write, Erase, Repeat

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Yet again, and without fail, you all are truly amazing. Your support for these whiteboards gave my scholars a different medium than pencil and paper to express their knowledge, understanding, and growth of their academic and social skills. We were able to work on math problems in small groups, complete writing activities, and express our emotions using these boards. We enjoyed them so much that students would come in, grab a board and dry erase marker, and prepare for their learning. It was a true hoot to see these students so engaged with their work, while still working on their penmanship skills. Furthermore, the growth we all experienced is due to your support of students and teachers trying to better themselves and the world around them. You all are wonderful and kind.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart and am grateful for your kindness.”

  • Make it Last!

    Funded Oct 26, 2021

You all are amazing and wonderful people. With your support I was and continue to create supports for my students that last. I have laminated schedules, communication icons, worksheets, and student schedules. These have been beneficial for my students and I and all of the benefits are from your generosity. Your care and support have made my first year of teaching more enjoyable and that enjoyment translates to better support of my scholars from my team and I. I am having a hard time putting my gratitude into words... so please know that your kindness has gone to a great cause. Supporting the leaders of tomorrow.

Thank you so much for your support.”

  • Student Progress with Printing Support!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

You all are truly wonderful, generous, and caring people! The printer you donated has given me the ability to provide my students' with the ability to communicate and express themselves. This has led my team and I better support these scholars and their needs. One of the pictures I have uploaded is a feelings chart for a student who sometimes becomes dysregulated. Providing this scholar the ability to nonverbally tell my team and I where their emotional state is has been beneficial in our continued support of this student. You all, and your generous support of classrooms and students, has made my first year of teaching a wonderful, exciting experience and I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. You all are amazing! Thank you again!”

  • Student Work Systems

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my students and classroom. While my room is not perfectly organized, the leveled library system has created a system where students are able to have their notebooks and assignments all in bins specific to them and their needs. The kids were excited to have their own bins and know that they have a place dedicated to their work. You all have made such a wonderful impact on their academic and social growth; I am having trouble finding the words of thanks for your generosity. You all are integral in my work systems that I have in place for each student. Thank you so much for your support and words of kindness. You are amazing!”

  • Use and Reuse for Academic Growth at Renton Park Elementary!

    Funded May 25, 2021

I cannot thank you all enough for your generous support for my classroom. The laminating sheets have been put to good use! With the lamination sheets I was able to create a communication book that I used to support my students' understanding of what I was and am saying. This communication technique (using a visual support) for interacting and working with Autistic individuals has been shown to support their understanding of what a person is saying. I was also able to create individual "like" and "don't like" communication symbols for each student in my class to use so they could respond without having to verbalize their responses. Several of the students are currently non-verbal and this support gave them a voice and ability to constructively participate in classroom discussions and lessons.

In my new role as a resource teacher in Lakewood, WA, I have been laminating student work so it can be reused for future students who have similar goals. I have also been able to create laminated schedules to help students in my class transition from one activity to another with less disruptions. My students have benefitted greatly from your support and I myself have a hard time putting my thanks into words. So, I will end this letter with an anecdote: ach day we use a "mood meter" to describe how we are feeling (happy, silly, tired/sad, or mad). I printed off each student's photo, laminated it, and added Velcro to make it stick to the board. The power these students feel in being able to see themselves and place how they are feeling on the board is awesome. They also have the ability to move their icon depending on how they feel and their sense of being able to visually note their feelings brings joy to us all. Thank you again for supporting my students and me. You all are amazing!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Carson Hembree

I am a new teacher (third week) and these materials will benefit my students so they are able to interact and engage with the lessons. The laminating sheets are durable and the lesson materials I laminate can be reused for next year to support my students in their academic, social, and emotional growth. We are all still struggling in this pandemic, but if you have the means to donate, I would greatly appreciate your support for my students and their learning. Thank you for your support as I start my educational career.
