We started the school year with all materials needed for speech language reading comprehension!!! My students really like the magazines as the topics are always interesting for them. They love the activities and online videos that come with the magazines, as well as, the quizzes and games!! All of this was possible due to your help! I will always be thankful for your support. These magazines not only benefit them, but also my future students as I keep them organized by month. Thank you so much for you support!”

Thank you very much for your generous donation. The student are getting benefit since day one! They were very happy since the first day the enjoyed new engaging activities I purchased on Teachers pay teachers. The new listening center is working great! Each of my students have their own earphones and have access to a better quality of sound they deserve.
Most of my students present with verbal processing disorder and this new listening center has helped them in getting the information on a clear way decreasing background noise.”

My students are more engaged now with the introduction of technology in the classroom rather than pencil & paper. All my students have speech/language disabilities, and all of them are taking advantage of this new device. For many of them, it turned into a communication device and in a way to expand their speech productions. They enjoy listening to stories and the iPad has helped them to understand and answer questions when provided with visual and colorful prompts. They also enjoy the apps specially designed by and for speech/language pathologists to enhance the student's communication and language skills.
The iPad has been a great addition to the speech therapy.”

I am so impressive how my students are learning and increasing phonological awareness skills after using individualized and culturally and linguistically appropriately materials.
Because they now have access to individualized materials, I can share it with the families.
My next step is to post pictures and students' hands on activities in the school Speech therapy newspaper. With this project I am able to continue making endless materials as well as update posters and boards in the classroom.
Due to the poor availability of materials in Spanish, I would like to provide my culturally and linguistically diverse students with materials made in their home language. Many of my students lack phonological awareness which is the precursor of literacy. Research has demonstrated that good phonological awareness skills in the home language transfer to English easily. The Cricut machine I need will help me to create materials specifically made for them in their home language. Both in-person and remote students will benefit from this. Also, this will give me the opportunity to involve my non-English speaking parents in their child’s education.
