An understanding of computer science is becoming increasingly essential in today’s world. There just aren't enough people who are trained and have these skills today. As the students of today speed toward tomorrow, coding will become an essential part of our world's future. There will simply not be enough people to fill all the jobs that will require code. These skills will not only teach the boys and girls how to code, but to problem solve, create and most importantly think. I can think of no better way to prepare these kids than bringing them understanding of technology's bare bones, CODING. I try to introduce as many technological experiences that I can into my children's lives. I encourage students to embrace technology and understand it. Using these Chromebooks will prove to be invaluable as we create the next programmer, software designer, web developer, music producer, artist, engineer, teacher and who knows what they can do given the knowledge and tools. Apple, Facebook, computers and the internet all started out as dreams and ideas. Let's see what these young men and women can dare to dream. Steve Jobs: “Everybody in this country should learn to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think”
