As a teacher, it is my job to provide a high-quality education and comfortable learning environment to all my students. Being in an inclusive special education classroom brings a wide variety of learners. Each student thrives on different sensory stimuli and has individual learning styles. The items listed are items specifically selected for the variety of learners within the classroom, this year and years to come. Things like sensory gel filled alphabet letters encourage my students, who may not otherwise, to engage in letter recognition activities. Magnetic writing boards and wiki sticks are hands-on materials used to teach fine motor skills and letter formation. Peg dolls, bristle blocks, wood tiles, and magnetic tiles are all ways to engage students in open-ended STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) exploration. By donating to this project you are giving our next generation the education they need to be great leaders while helping to instill a love of learning.
