Mark It!
Funded Dec 13, 2021Thank you so much for the colors you have provided for the classroom. Students are now able to use colored pencils and markers. They do not have to worry to bring some to class if they forget or do not have some. The moment I took out the box, they were all shocked to see the new colors they are able to use in class.
They were for sure shocked. They were also able to not worry about not having all the colors or any colors at all. Sometimes a student does get hesitant if they were the only one to ask for colored pencils or even markers in class. With the class set to use in the classroom, all students will be able to use the materials.
The next step in my project is to provide other class set materials in my classroom such as headphones. A lot of things this year have been becoming digital. There are also many new resources such as videos students and teachers are able to watch and explore. I want to provide a classroom where students will have all the equipment they need in order to keep growing. Other than that, thank you for the support so far and I hope you have a wonderful summer! I can't wait to share with you what else I have in store for the classroom!”

Funded Dec 7, 2021The resources that you have helped provide in the classroom has been a very big helped and helped me teach the students. The magnets don't seem as a fascinating thing, but when the students saw the purpose I had for the magnets, it has helped them learn in class. The kids were fascinated in how fast I was able to move posters around for each lesson. Posters are big paper with words that might not sound fascinating, but students find them very useful in the classroom.
How the students reacted when they saw the new materials was "It's starting to look like a classroom." It is also really nice to have the materials that are a necessity in the classroom such as pencils. I cannot tell you how much pencils we go through a week. The stamps were also a nice part to have in class. They have helped me as well as the students keep track of what assignments they did great on and which assignments they need more help on.
I am slowly starting to get a hang of teaching and each year I really do learn something new. I hope to make my classroom more of an environment where they are able to learn freely and not be judged. I will continue to try to get the necessities my students need in class in order to succeed. Thank you so much for your help and have an amazing summer!”

Funded Jan 28, 2022The resources that you have helped provide in the classroom has been such a great help and brought so much joy. Students often come to class hungry, and these snacks have helped them in class by providing them a snack as they learn. The prizes have also brought much enjoyment. I used these materials as a type of reward system where students would earning points if they listened in class, participated, and followed instructions.
Their first reaction was of excitement. As I used the reward system, a lot of students have been more involved to get the reward points. This in turn helped them learn in class. It brought me so much joy as they retrieved their hard work off for some prizes such as the stickers, erasers, and snacks.
My students loved this idea so much that I plan to continue with this reward system in class. I hope to turn this reward system into a math lesson where they will be able to think about finances as they earn and turn in points for rewards. I hope you look into what I have in store for this upcoming school year. With much gratitude and thanks, have a blessed summer!”

Funded Dec 17, 2021Technology in the classroom has made an incredible impact to the students. Students are now able to explore beyond the classroom by completing research with their computers as well as access many different videos and online activities. My students have been great effected by this change. Students after each lesson always have so many questions they want to solve and answer. Technology has enabled them to further dive into their exploration by a click of a button. It is just fascinating to witness.
For the calculators provided in the classroom, this enabled students to actually have a hand-held calculator. This helped a lot of students especially that need concrete (real-life) objects. We were able to use these calculators and not depend solely on computer calculators.
I would say the students that benefited the most were students that have a hard time in math. This calculator enabled them to be more confident in solving math related science problems in the classroom. What I do to supplement their math learning, we solve the equation on paper and then use the calculator to check our work. This has helped a lot to students who find math a bit difficult. Thank you so much of the donation. It has helped the students grow in their science as well as their math abilities.”

Funded Dec 4, 2021With this project that provided the class different colored paper and tape, the resources have been used efficiently and effectively. The paper has been used for different paper activities in class. This has gotten kids to be more excited compared to white paper all the time. It has also provided me a chance to save resources that I can use for next year.
The kids were shocked to see the new colored paper. More posters were also hanged up in help of the masking tape. The classroom is not a new classroom and the walls are very not stackable. It takes a lot of tape to have posters and the tape helped me re-tape posters around the room.
With the supplies that I have, I hope to print and create more resources I am able to reuse every year that the students enjoy. My next step for my classroom is to provide my students with more equipment such as headphones. Classroom organization is also next on my list. This will help me set up a routine where kids are able to use material and respect the material and equipment given in class.”

Funded Nov 22, 2021Thank you so much for the support you have give my classroom. The paper has been a big help by bringing joy when kids are presented with different colored paper. The magnets have also been a big help in put up big posters for class. For lessons such as the classification of elements and compounds, I was able to put up posters on my white board. The magnets helped me place and move around posters and papers in class.
The first reactions to the magnets and colored paper was great. The colored paper brought in excitement as well as motivation and a drive to work on assignments. Instead of the white color they are use to, they got to have colored paper. The magnets were also a great help since the students do like to read the posters laid out in class.
The next steps for my classroom is to get more student material and equipment. Equipment such as class set of headphones. Highlighters as well as post it notes for students to utilize in the classroom.
Thank you again for the help. I will continue to strive to be the best educator I can be for the students!”

Funded Aug 5, 2021With the beginning of the year, the cleaning supplies such as hand sanitizers and lysol wipes have been a great helping in keeping everything clean. The folders have also been such a great help in providing organization in the classroom. In a way, the folders have also been a great help for students. Sometimes teachers will ask for folders and the students have a hard time finding the time and money to get their needed supplies. These folders were given to those students, and this provided them a sense of relieve. Another example of how the students and I are using the folders is through stations which is part of our blended learning process. Activities and papers are placed into the different colored folders. The folders help in organization and the colors add color into the class lessons.
When the students saw the materials, they were very thankful that cleaning supplies were provided and folders were given. In the light of the pandemic, the students have been really cautious about keep their table disinfected and their hands clean.
As the year goes by, kids are starting to get more comfortable around the classroom. With the folders providing organization into the blended learning aspect of the classroom, my current project is now how to make the lessons and stations excited. I plan to try to use more of a game approach into teaching certain topics. What I mean by that is by making learning into a competition and a game. This will keep he kids excited as they are learning.
Again, thank you so much for making everything happen. Without your support, the students would not be where they are right now.”
