Due to our last COVID school year, we need to take a huge loss with our Chromebooks. With the fact that 90% of our EL students did not have an equitable device at home to allow them to complete class assignments, they attempted to complete their assignments in school. In addition, our EL program also scaffolds students to learn basic computer skills and provides an online language learning program to scaffold students' English learning. Thus, the mouse pad on the Chromebooks was heavily damaged in our EL classroom. To prepare our students back to an effective learning environment, I would like to provide an individual computer mouse for students to use in our classroom. Our EL students need scaffolding materials and learning strategies to help them to develop their English proficiency. Therefore, I believe our EL students will be strongly benefited from the teaching materials (hands-on activities, newcomer packages, language skill worksheets, literacy scaffolding lessons, and various content area scaffolding materials, which includes math, social studies, and science) that I purchase from Teachers pay Teachers.
