Help Us Grow Our Classroom Library!
Funded Dec 3, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donations to support this project for our classroom. Books bring my students SO much joy and these did just that and more. My kids were overjoyed by the new books arriving and being added to our library. I keep the new books on a shelf for them to easily find and access and they reread them practically every day!
I read a story every day after our first recess and it is definitely one of the favorite parts of our everyday in my students eyes. I usually try to pick a book that connects to our monthly character trait we are working on (empathy, leadership, growth mindset, etc.), connects to the letter we are working on, or connects to a skill we are working on (like visualizing, using their imagination, characters, etc.). These books have been PERFECT and the kids love them.
We also have a daily playtime in our classroom in which our class library is open as an option to play at. The library with the books from this donation is one of their favorite places to play! Kids often pick the library just to reread the books we have been reading as a class. It's amazing. Students have been able to grow their minds in so many ways from these books and their love for reading has continued to blossom. We couldn't be more thankful!”

Funded Jul 23, 2021Thank you so much for supporting this project and helping my students gain access to so many wonderful hands on materials! We are using these resources every single day. The letter lacing beads are being used every morning as part of our fine motor phonics practice. Students can lace the beads to make words and names on the string. They love it! Students use playdoh every day to form letters, numbers, and even write their names! All materials are accessible to students throughout the day, whether at a certain activity rotation, or during playtime.
When students saw the materials they were thrilled! So many of my students don't even have access to fun games at home, let alone learning games and ways to make learning more exciting. They LOVED everything. The letter acorns were a big hit! They enjoyed trying to find what letter each object went to and they also liked that each letter's objects were the same color.
Myself and my kindergarten team are continuing to try to build our classrooms with hands on materials that make learning fun and effective. These resources have been so incredibly helpful and my students (and myself) thank you a ton! We wouldn't be having the success that we are this year without it.”
