The large carpet will provide the ideal space to sit in a circle, where everyone can sit with enough space to see each other, for our daily Morning Meetings. Morning Meeting is an intentional way of starting the day, where my First Graders will have the opportunity to practice skills like attention, listening, expression and cooperation, as well as develop a sense of belonging and enhance connections. The calming corner will be supplied with calming activities for students to self regulate when they need to. Students can practice these activities at home.
