Having novel sets will allow me to create literacy projects with my students. Once every six weeks, they are expected to create projects for a literacy museum walk for parents and the student body. They will dive into plot, characterization, setting, and other literary elements that are connected with STAAR testing. STAAR formatted questions in the fiction genre will enable them to practice their critical thinking, increase vocabulary, and maintain in shape as their reading endurance will increase with each completed novel. In addition, a sense of accomplishment of completing the novel will make them feel confident.

About my class
