Students will work on specific reading skills and strategies in summer school. Each student will be given a book given to take home to promote them practicing and improving their reading and comprehension skills. In addition, students will be able to build an at home library. They will be able to read whenever they want to. This also provides parents the opportunity to read with their child and support their students reading goals. Research shows that when parents are involved in their child's education, students tend to be more successful.
