Visual Aid in Science
Funded Mar 23, 2023Thank you so much for your donations to this project for my scholars. This project has made the gap between the knowledge of learning and the application of that learning. Students are able to put their hands-on learning. Students are able to explore more in science and see how different concepts are actually put into action. For example: Students love examining the DNA molecule. They were able to break down the different parts of DNA and put it back together which helped them learn how to do mutations with DNA and their effect on an organism.
The new products have been super effective with my lower-level learners and my English learning students because they can put their hands on the learning. They are kinesthetic learners. One student loved fossil digging because it helped them to understand how fossils are created, where to find fossils in rock and apply what they have learned to different rock layers. These different aids in Science are truly making a difference and impact on my scholars.”

Science Exploration Video Lessons
Funded Jun 28, 2023Thank you so much again for your donations to this project. The visual aids in Science allow the students to see and present their work in real time. Students use the camera to take pictures of the experiments being immersed in Science. Students use the cam record to video record lessons and science experiments. Students can upload these videos onto their modules and go back and relearn information that they are missing. Students have uploaded some of their videos on the district website to present to other students and teachers what they are learning.
Some students have gotten into photography and videography because of these new classroom items. We must be helping students for their futures. Some students have learned to rework the cam recorder to where it is easier to understand. One student recorded all the science lessons for his class and made the camera start to work after another student dropped it. Students are eager to use the new equipment because they have never gotten the chance to use these things in life or in the classroom. It is a new experience for them that they will never forget.”

Funded May 5, 2023Thank you so much for the donations to this project. Students now have a visual of the different activities they are learning about. For instance, showing students the 3D replica of DNA helps them to understand Genetics and Heredity more. The replica gives them an interactive hands-on approach to learning. Students are more engaged thanks to your donations to this project. I have been able to use the visuals such as the 3D replica of the DNA model and the fossil kit to help foster learning communities. Again we thank you so much.”

Let's Chill and Learn
Funded Apr 14, 2023Thank you so much for the mini air conditioner units. The students enjoy them. The school year has started with no air conditioning. We are still currently without air. However, the mini AC units have assisted in keeping the students cool. I have tweaked them to run without an extension cord. They sit on the student's tables and they run for the entirety of the class period. It helps to facilitate learning. The students are willing to learn now that they are cool. Showing my other coworkers the mini ac units has brought out a need for them in other classes. Teachers are willing to order them for their students. This has been an awesome project.”

Working to Look Like a Scientist
Funded Feb 15, 2023Students have enjoyed looking like Scientists. The students wear their lab coats when it is time to complete labs. Students enjoy wearing lab coats all day. Students will wear the lab coats to lunch. There is a sense of ownership when the students wear their lab coats. Students are very happy to have them.
The lab coat project has started something among all the Science classes at my school. Every student wants one. Every teacher wants their students to have one. Science classes are turning more into exploration. The lab coats have assisted in this change. We are so grateful for your donations to this project. We are looking to get students actual lab coats so they can be reusable instead of one-time use. We look forward to making Science and STEM learning fun.”

Let's Read In Science: Literacy in Science
Funded Mar 30, 2023Thank you so much. Your kindness and generosity does not go unnoticed. With these works of literacy, my scholars will be able to grow personally and intellectually. Most importantly, it will help them think more abstractly. Again, we thank you so much and look forward to the work ahead. Thank you.”
