Thank you, donors, for supporting our youngest learners. Upon receiving the sitting materials , my students were excited to explore the materials. • Pre-School Furture Journalists

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you, donors, for supporting our youngest learners. Upon receiving the storage cubbie and accessories, my students were excited to explore the educational materials. The materials have enabled my students to strengthen their fine motor skills, letter word knowledge, and language development.

Each week the students learn about a new letter of the week, so having the playdough supports our weekly lessons by encouraging students to create the letter of the week using the alphabet's mats. In addition to having the playdough, markers, pencil, paper, puzzles, etc where students can easilybreach, the students can make the letter of their name, which helps them to identify them quickly and support with identifying the upper and lower case alphabets.

I can't say. Thank you enough, donors. For providing storage, which is excellent for sharing and teaching various other skills, literacy, vocabulary, fine motor, math, eye-hand coordination, and so many more skills by investigating through playdough. In as much as supporting our whole curriculum, which students can cover by tapping into their creative side. Lastly, we love the size of the storage unit due to its multiplelayers of storage for paper, markers, playdough, etc that enhance their writing center. The dough play dough stays soft and playable for a long time and is excellent for distributing and storing. The colors match the container, and the dough is thin, making it easier for students to identify colors and put the correct playdough into the suitable container. What a vital resource to help the whole child learn and grow.”

In addition, to having the playdough, the students can make the letter of their name, which helps them to identify them quickly and support with identifying the upper and lower case alphabets.

The playdough enables our students to support their emotions and social skills, for instance, sharing, taking turns, and enjoying engagement with others. Furthermore, the play dough encourages my young learners to explore sensory skills by making shapes and animals and pretending to make people and objects.

When students find it hard to manage their feelings, the staff has noticed that students select to explore the playdough by just sitting there and squeezing/rolling around a ball of playdough in their hands while the child sits there and plays. A lot like a stress ball, play dough is a stress reliever. And this works for our kids too! There are various benefits to having playdough and accessories in our classroom.
