I teach 5th grade math and science to around 80 students at a Title I school in Florida. 100% of my students live at or below the poverty level. Math and science are important because these fields of study could be their avenue out of the cycle of poverty. We have to teach them the importance of these fields of study and spark their passion. My students are very enthusiastic about science.
