My goal as a teacher is to foster my students love for reading. If I can find one book that my students love, it will put them on a path to become lifelong readers. Students will not only improve their literacy skills, they will become better people by experiencing diverse perspectives. Students struggle to find real world connections in the classroom, these books will help! These graphic novels have been chosen to pair with an upcoming Social Justice Unit. Students will have a choice as to which book they read and we'll be pairing the graphic novels to the chosen book. These texts will enrich their lives.
