Can you imagine a classroom that had all the materials they needed to be successful at their fingertips? This project can help fund the materials my students need to showcase their learning.
As an educator, I have created many interactive games and activities for my students, but they have to write on their iPads using their fingers. This becomes a bit of a challenge using this technique. On my list I have a class set of stylus pens that students will use to spell, write, and create by using this technology writing tool.
Research suggest that an effective reading program must address all components of reading. As a result, my students need some learning games that will put them on the path for reading success. The games on my list will help students practice foundational skills that are essential for my explicit learning instruction. These games will help practice phonemic awareness, letter knowledge, phonics, and spelling.
Assessment is a tool teachers use to get data. An educator uses that data to help tailor prescriptive instruction to meet the needs of all learners. The supplies on my list will help my students showcase their learning and creativity. They will use these supplies to stay engaged. The response boards, writing tools, presentation tools, and analyzing tools will be used everyday during whole group lessons, guided practice, small group, independent practice, and enrichment. I will use the data collected from my observations in my informal assessments to help my students meet their goals and help them be successful.
