Structured Play Makes a Fun Learning Day !
Funded Dec 26, 2021I cannot begin to express how much your donation has impacted the lives of my students. Their faces were filled with joy and excitement when the items first arrived and they continue to light up every time they get to interact with the amazing tools and equipment that your donations have provided to this school. These kids love to play and these tools allow them to do so in a structured and meaningful way that limits frustration and increases joy! You have brought many smiles to these little faces and to their teachers too. Thank you! Thank you!”

Sensory Integration for Self-Regulation!
Funded May 21, 2021I am so incredibly grateful for the generous gifts that you have given our students. Many have not been in school for over a year. Returning to a full day of school is incredibly challenging for any student, but especially for our 4, 5 and 6 year-old students with special needs. They need help to regulate their bodies and participate more fully and independently in their learning. They are so young and have many challenges that a typical student does not have.
Your gifts of foam, play dough, water beads and kinetic play sand have allowed our kids to learn while staying more focused and calm in response to the surrounding sensory stimuli. They absolutely love all of these materials and run to their seats to "play". The students are learning their numbers and letters with the these sensory integration tools. It is amazing to see them learn so many important life skills while they are having so much fun playing.
I am so privileged to witness the daily growth of these young minds. Thank you for helping to make their lives just a little bit easier, less stressful, and so much more fun. With the proper tools, good teachers, and the kindness of donors like you, these students are capable of amazing things. I can't wait to continue to build on the skills they are learning and find more unique and stimulating ways for these kids to learn. The integration of these items provides them with sensory information helping to organize the central nervous system. When the kids are motivated to use the tools we have, they are motivated to try new things and learn new skills. I am beyond thankful for your help in making this happen. Thank you.”
