We will be learning elementary Japanese as a class next year. For most of my students, this will be their first exposure to such an "exotic" language and culture. Hopefully, this class will spark an interest in Japan for my students that will carry on well beyond the classroom, as a similar language course did for me. A vital key to our success will be a good textbook to use as a reference and for practice. Additionally, there's just something about have a hard copy of a book that makes the material seem more "real" and accessible.
