The class set of yoga mats will be used to improve physical and mental health for both students and staff. For students, I plan to incorporate lessons from the Powerful You curriculum, which focuses on topics of positive self-talk, kindness, friendship, anxiety, teamwork, leadership, and gratitude. I would love to offer yoga classes to staff as well to help ease stress and improve well-being. Additionally, these mats would be used collaboratively with the PE teacher, thus expanding their overall use and value. Yoga + movement + social emotional learning is my goal for these yoga mats. Please help me make a difference in the lives of my students!
