  • I Can See, I Can See the Solar Eclipse…safely!

    Funded Feb 5, 2024

    Thank you so much for funding my project! I was able to provide solar eclipse glasses to over 500 students.

    These students raved about how excited they were to teach their families about the solar eclipse and then be able to use the glasses to watch it.

    Many students said they probably would not have watched it if they were not given the glasses in school. It also prompted family members to go out and get extra pairs for other family members to enjoy this moment together!

    Many thanks for providing me the tools to give to my students to experience a possible once in a lifetime event. Thank you for also allowing me to give them the gift of Science at home.”

  • Work, Don't Be Late... Grab A Tool And Regulate!

    Students thoroughly enjoyed their tools to regulate their emotions during a very difficult year. At the end of the year students were able to write about their experiences with tools and tell which tool was their favorite.

    Students loved when I shared the tools with them and were excited to have them at their disposal if they needed a break.

    This coming school year I am blessed to have the same class and can't wait to see how students will utilize their tools this year.

Each year, my second graders come into the classroom eager to learn, but full of energy! As teachers, we need to constantly adapt to the changing needs within our classroom. We need to be flexible when it comes to the environment we create for our learners, especially with the seating options. Not all students have the same needs when it comes to movement, but... ALL students learn best when they have what they need! These adjustable seats will give my most active learners what they need to succeed! These students will have the option to work at a standing desk when needed and switch to a stool when needed. Your donation will help even the most wiggly students focus on their work and achieve academic success!
