“Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.” – Frederick Douglass. In a classroom of exceptional learners, reading is one of the activities from which most students run. This 2021-2022 school year, I want to provide my students with various materials to read. They need magazines and periodicals that are current, relevant, and engaging. We are moving to 90-minute classes and will be incorporating silent reading and journaling. The magazines will be part of the options available for the students. This project is just the beginning of a larger dream.
