  • Picture Communication board and Sensory walk for Playground area!

    This has been an amazing project to see come to fruition. The sensory walk benefits all children, not only students with sensory issues. This is very much needed and has been a tremendous asset to our playground.

    All of the students have been able to use the sensory walk. Please continue to grow in your knowledge of students with sensory needs and how you may support them in a variety of way.

    Your donations to make this project possible was very appreciated and it will be a successful addition to our playground for many years to come. I hope that our project may motivate other schools to pursue the same.

With a picture communication board accessible on the playground, all students, either verbal or non-verbal would be able to let their wants and needs be known. Tpt has several excellent examples of Picture communication boards and sensory walks that would be used to develop and model a board specific to our student's needs. these gift cards would help fund this project for our school.
