  • Hear ye, hear ye,....we need headphones!

    Funded Dec 31, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity! This is such a special time for giving and I know my kids are going to be so excited to receive new headphones in the classroom. I am truly thankful and grateful that you chose to fund my project. My kids mean the world to me and I only want the best for them. It’s what they deserve!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moffat

This classroom project was brought to life by Jackson Water Crisis Fund and 3 other donors.
  • Ready, Set, Learn!

    Funded Oct 8, 2021

My students love using dry-erase boards in class to practice various learning skills. This set of dry-erase markers lasted a long time and I am beyond grateful for your donation. With this donation, you were able to help my class during small-group instruction, independent work, center work, and whole-group instruction because dry-erase boards are used in most activities in the classroom. The students really get excited about learning when they get to use dry-erase boards. I remember loving it too when I was a student! Having proper dry-erase erasers makes a huge difference because mistakes are definitely made!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moffat

  • STEM Activities

    Funded Apr 23, 2021

My students and I are enjoying all of the STEM activities that were donated from Donor's Choose. I use our "STEM bins" for quick finishers in the classroom or sometimes for indoor recess if the weather is bad outside. If students are caught up on assignments and want to get a "STEM bin" out, they know they are welcome to do so and they love every second of it.

My students were very excited to see the exciting materials that are stored in the "STEM bins" because the items and activities that are included are things that they have never experienced before. The only one I noticed that they recognized was the Legos.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moffat

  • Participation Microphone Ball

    Funded Nov 22, 2021

Thank you so very much for donating to my project. Most of my kids are always so eager to participate in class but they have such soft voices and with the masks, it is hard to understand what they are saying. Those students that are not as motivated to participate in class might become more eager once we throw this microphone ball around! I am so excited!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moffat

  • Urgent Intervention Resources

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donation. I teach 3rd grade but there are a handful of students that cannot read and write independently. One little boy in particular needs all the help there is to offer or he will never get promoted to higher grades in the future. This will help with interventions!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moffat

This classroom project was brought to life by Dollar General Literacy Foundation and one other donor.
  • Classroom Organization!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

I could not do what I do as efficiently as I do without amazing donations such as these. Every penny of your donation is appreciated beyond measure. I cannot wait to get my classroom organized for my students so that they can easily find materials and manipulatives as they are needed. Thank you so much again!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moffat

This classroom project was brought to life by Bill Gates and 2 other donors.
  • Class Set of Virtual Learning Headphones!

    Funded Jul 12, 2021

Thank you so much for the sweet donations towards my class set of headphones. This is going to make learning so much fun!! We only had a few working headphones this past year for virtual learning which made things extremely difficult. These headphones will stay in the classroom and will be kept nice and safe. Thank you so much again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moffat

Most students are hands-on learners and love to explore through creativity. I want to be able to provide opportunities to do just that. When students are "early finishers" with assignments and need something to do, grabbing a "STEM Bin" will be the main focus for my classroom. In the event that we have bad weather and cannot play outside on the playground and have to play inside "STEM Bins", once again will be the main focus in the classroom. Students should always have the option to use creativity to express themselves. While engaging in these STEM activities, students are still learning, but they are having a great time doing it.
