The 3D printer and filament will give my students the opportunity to learn real life skills that go beyond the classroom. We live in a technology rich world and 3D printing is gaining in popularity. With the ability to design and print in the classroom my goal is to encourage higher thinking (and engagement) with my students. The opportunities for new and unique learning opportunities are endless. As a math and science teacher this printer would be put to work daily. Future plans include designing cars for force experiments, creating the perfect pots for growing plants, and making models of different adaptations that animals have that could also help humans.
