The materials requested will help students reach their education goals in the classroom and during distance education. Students are so excited to be back on campus this school year and are ready to learn. After the pandemic closures and as the pandemic restrictions continue, many students need assistance with their social skills. Students are struggling to understand body language, personal space, and emotional regulation in a safe manner. The Little Spot Of... books, the fidget items, and the social/emotional cooperative games will assist students in learning social skills and provide them with materials they can take with them anywhere on campus. Many students are still utilizing distance education. I would like to be able to provide these students everything they need to be successful at home. This includes folders, writing utensils, glue, stamps, and picture cards. I also need to be able to scan documents to send digital copies to families. I do my best to individualize activities to my students' preferences and needs. Having a scanner will allow me to send families the materials I make for their students in a digital format. With COVID-19 precautions in place, students are not to share materials. The stamper sets, folders, glue sticks, and playdough will allow students to have individual sets of items. These are the most requested multi-sensory tools for engagement and participation with my students. My students have shown tremendous strength and perseverance during the COVID-19 pandemic. I want to continue to support my students and their families as they conquer the challenges put in their path.
