This is my first year in this middle school inclusion position and we have limited resources currently. The room needs a little sprucing up and there are no manipulatives for the students to learn with. I am also hoping to expand my social/emotional resources as this is an area of difficulty for many of my kiddos.
I want to create an out of this world classroom for my special stars to learn in. Lanterns will be hung from the ceiling and the canopy and throws will create a cool down corner for my students when adolescence gets tough. Curtains will dress up the now bare windows and will provide lighting control for students with sensory needs.
The calculators, manipulatives, books and games will create engaging small group and one on one learning opportunities designed with striving learners in mind!
