For a fun, end-of-the-year art lesson, fifth graders will learn to use chenille needles, crochet thread. and felt to hand sew their very own pizza pillow. Learning to sew is such a rewarding experience, and kids will love to show off their creativity as they make their own pizza designs. This fiber art lesson not only encourages artistic expression, but teaches students important life skills as well. We will be mindful of our of our planet as we minimize waste, and repurpose old plastic bags as the stuffing for our pizza pillows.
