Short Circuited No Longer!
Funded Jan 26, 2018Our fourth grade class has been working on a continuous circuitry project throughout the year. Starting with paper circuits, we have now moved on to snap circuit boards. These hands on exploration projects offer so many opportunities including kinesthetic, teamwork, art integration and procedural writing.
The most amazing thing that I've noticed is that circuitry is an amazing gateway into mindset matters. At the beginning of the year we talk about failing and how it is okay because it means that we are learning. Circuitry is difficult and it's completely typical to fail multiple times before succeeding. It encourages growth, positive mentality and effort. Making the jump to circuit boards shows the real world connection that we make while completing a project. The students in the photos are listen to a radios, building spinning launchers, and even building water sensors that are similar to those on our local boats all that they built with their snap circuit kit! The completion of these projects engage learns and helps motivate them.”
