  • Rocket Science in 5th Grade

    Funded Aug 28, 2024

Thank you for your support! The students were so excited to hear that they would be working together to build rockets and launch them in the spring. They are brainstorming how they will decorate and assemble them so that they fly the highest. This project is allowing them to think creatively And scientifically. It is also providing them with an opportunity to build memories and connections with classmates. Thank you for your support.

Students will be working with a partner to choose one design and then build to completion. Throughout the school year they will be looking and learning about different models and how they are used to solve real world problems. They also work with a NASA ambassador to learn about the solar system and different aircraft used to explore those regions of our world.

Thank you for bringing this learning to life.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Marshall

  • Take a Look – Read a Book!

    Funded May 18, 2021

Thank you for your donation to our classroom. The students are finding joy reading the new books. They are sharing they're learning with each other.

The grammar game has been a great addition to our classroom rotations. It makes it fun for the students to practice much-needed grammar skills.

Your donation has brought excitement to the classroom. You have also helped bring fun to learning which has made it a positive experience so far this school year.

I cannot tell you how thankful we are for your kindness and generosity.

    Thank you,

    Chealsea Marshall's class”

    With gratitude,

One of the best inventions for my kids is a good book, which most of them do not have at home. They need books they want to read and plenty of time to read them. These kids have an innate sense of curiosity and are so willing to read to learn. I try my best to provide them with as many experiences as I can in the classroom, on the playground, field trips (but not this year), technology, and of course, books! With my project, I am hoping to add to my classroom library, books that will excite the kids. It is important to have a variety of genres and reading levels so that all kids can read. They love reading alone, with a partner, and in groups. I will be able to use these books for years to come to spread the joy of reading.
