I teach in a Title I school in rural East Texas. The majority of our students are from a low socio-economic background. School is their safe place. A lot of times students just need the chance to do something different. My dyslexia students often have needs other than just dyslexia. Flexible seating can provide them with the opportunity to be comfortable and learn in their own style. I want my classroom to be a welcoming, comfortable space for them to enjoy and learn. My lessons are from the MTA program and are designed to be multisensory. What better way to encourage multisensory learning than by having flexible seating!
