Have a Seat and Let's Learn!
Funded Dec 22, 2021My students love having the freedom to move around the room to work in areas that are comfortable and inviting. I have many different types of learners, and your donation has allowed those who prefer to sit on wobble stools to have a seat that fits their individual needs. As you can see in the photos, we use the stools at a whiteboard table for small group math instruction, and we use them at a low coffe table for them to use for both math and English Language Arts classes - and they love them! Thank you for your support of my kids!”

Have a Seat!
Funded Oct 15, 2021Thank you so much for your donations to my first "Have a Seat" project! The kids love the smaller seating that fits at our "coffee" table. They do their writing and math independent work at this table, so it is nice that they now have seats that fit the table and make it more comfortable for them to work.
Our room is a constantly fluid environment that I adjust to meet the needs of my variety of learners. I truly do not know the full impact that this has on my students, but, I am amazed at the difference in student attitudes this year, since I have changed to a more homey, comfortable learning environment. The students are so engaged and willing to participate, and I can't help but feel like it is because of things provided by donations from people like you. Thank you so very much! Your gift mattered!”

So, That's Why We have Seasons?
Funded Mar 21, 2021Thank you so much for funding this project! We had an amazing time learning about the seasons with the Roper Mountain Science team. Our kids really got a clearer understanding about why we have seasons because of the interactive (yes, even virtual learners can have interactive learning!) lesson they provided!
This virtual field trip was so impactful to my class because my kids had been learning on a computer all year. There were so few opportunities for them to have a different experience than the one I could offer them on the computer. Brining in different teachers who had some really cool demonstrations made learning so much more interesting for them and let them feel like even they could go on a field trip and have fun with school!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Wood
This classroom project was brought to life by Stavros Niarchos Foundation and one other donor.
