Sensory Sensitive Tools for Students
Funded Mar 22, 2022I sincerely thank you for contributing to my project. My students’ learning experiences will be greatly improved with these simple tools. I am sure the noise reducing headphones will get a lot of use, and the lap pad will be helpful for some of my students.
Thank you again for your support!”

Flocabulary Subscription
Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you so much for your generous contribution to my project, Flocabulary. I find that it can be hard engaging students when the subject matter is less than exciting! By using Flocabulary in my classroom, students are not only engaged, they are involved. They ask to repeat the songs, work together to "build the beat" in answering comprehension questions about the subject, and even complete the provided follow up worksheets without complaint. I love when my classroom is full of active learners, eager to learn. Thank you for this gift to my students!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Gallinelli
This classroom project was brought to life by Bill Gates and 4 other donors.Diverse Library for 3rd Grade
Funded Apr 20, 2021Thank you for contributing to my classroom library. My students have been reading some of our new books and loving them! Some favorites include Owl Diaries, Princess in Black, and Smile. I am using the picture books to teach about social emotional learning topics and diversity. Each week we have a new Book of the Week. I read it aloud to the class and we discuss it. Then we do an activity that connects the message of the book to our own lives. It's a big hit! This year, more than any other, students need this social emotional piece-they need to know they're not alone in feeling certain ways, that they can make positive changes, and that they're worth it.”
