These Sensory Ball Chairs will support students who struggle with maintaining focus and attention. Our students need to move, constantly, and often struggle to learn at their full potential when overwhelmed with their need to move. We want to support their learning skills in the classroom and feel that these sensory ball chairs will provide relief to our students so they are able to better focus and attend in the classroom. Students are benefited by these chairs because they are able to direct their natural kinesthetic energy and need for movement in a positive way, allowing them to focus on their work more completely and reach their full potential as learners. Some specific challenges include inattention, difficulty remaining on task, inability to sustain mental attention or focus, frequent need for breaks, inability to sit still, frequent fidgeting, pacing, or standing. We have one sensory ball chair in the room now and all the students try to be the first in the room to use it for the class period!
