This gobo projector can give students the necessary tools to create real and thematic lighting designs for the stage. Students have currently been learning to establish a 4-point lighting system, but have been creating their own SpecialFx patterns using only a piece of paper and a flashlight. This single piece of equipment broadens the student's capabilities by enormous amounts, allowing them to digitally create atmospheres and environments which are cast and illuminated onto the stage and/or cyclorama. Students then use these lighting designs to implement them in our afterschool performances. Currently, we are the only middle school in our district in which afterschool performances are all student-created and stage managed. This seemingly small piece of equipment would be and a gigantic upgrade to our wonderful program that continually seeks to improve.
