Pedaling Our Way Through Reading!

Thank you so much for your donations that were given for our reading bikes. Due to Covid, they haven't gotten quite the intense use I had anticipated, but are being used regularly. Students get so excited if they are allowed to use them during class time when they have time for free reading. When students came in at the beginning of the year and saw them, they couldn't wait to try them! As restrictions lift and I am able to have open library more and more, I know those pedals will be turning on a regular basis!
My hope is to purchase two more this year to get as many in use as possible. Thanks again! You are so appreciated!!”

The supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a space, we just need your help in getting them! I have used my library funds, along with assistance from my principal to purchase 4 reading bikes. Thankfully, I have plenty of space to keep them 6 feet apart and have room for more. Your help will keep me from turning students away when they want to read, even though they are put on the waiting list, it breaks my heart every time. When I see a student who doesn't like to read, come through the door and ask to do so willingly, I want to be able cultivate and encourage that as much as I possibly can. Your support will help them become better readers and independent learners.
