    This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 14 other donors.
All of my students are diagnosed with multiple and severe disabilities. Many of my students have difficulty communicating with others and struggle with performing everyday life skills such as dressing, feeding, cooking, participating in leisure skills, and self-care tasks. Several of my students use electronic speech devices and I need to pair these speech devices with Alexa so that students can have more control over their environment. The microwave and sink would receive a voice activated message to turn on and off through the speech activated device. I have also included switch toys in my request. These toys are plugged in to an adaptive switch which when activated by touch will turn on and off the toy. Please help me to teach students how to use these devices and enjoy the empowerment of independence and choice making.
