Research-based evidence is a clear indicator that help is available. According to a study published in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy (2003), students with ADHD benefit from sitting on therapy balls as indicated by improved behavior and legible word productivity. For example: Students were able to sit still, focus, and write words clearly. In 2007, Mayo Clinic in Rochester seconded these findings by conducting a study on the benefits of a chairless classroom. With the benefits of a chairless classroom, my students will be able to sit still and focus while having fun and learning more than ever before.
