These materials will allow us to provide a supportive environment for all students to continue their social-emotional learning. Our students need and deserve a safe place to deal with their traumatic experiences and struggles throughout the school day. With your help, I'd like to create an atmosphere that is both welcoming and enjoyable, is productivity-inspiring, and is a safe space where my students feel confident expressing themselves and being vulnerable to making mistakes. The calm down corner will allow students to learn strategies to calm themselves down so they can return to learning in a better frame of mind. Calm Down Corners will also have a positive impact on behavior referrals and teach students life-long skills of managing their emotions and thoughts. We appreciate all of your support as we continue to level the playing field for our students!
