  • Functional Life Skills Classroom

    My students has been given the opportunity work side by side with general education students which has provided a sense of partnership in learning real life skills.

    Excitement filled our classroom when boxes of items where being delivered. They unpacked items and placed them in their correct storage areas.

    We plan on continuing the coffee cart, and the garden throughout the school year. The confidence and excitement of contributing to their own education has been priceless. Thank you for your generosity in providing a real life skills opportunity for my students.”

    Thank you for your donation in providing my students with Teacher pay Teacher gift cards. I was able to create many different file folders and lessons from the assistance of teachers that are in the same field as I. My students enjoyed the fun filled lessons and continue to use the file folders in areas of community learning.

    Once again I am truly grateful for your generosity in helping my students meet their goals in learning by having new and exciting lessons filled with color, fun, and hands on experiences. With the file folders activity we were able to meet the needs of OT and Speech services as the file provided hands on activities.

    Every single student was able to enjoy the different activities these Teacher pay Teacher activity provided. We are still enjoying the fun and exciting activities as it has become a routine for my students.”

They each have unique and special needs, and have been working extremely hard to develop the confidence to showcase their abilities. The projects and work that my students have accomplished over the course of these past school years, shows that despite the obstacles that are put in their path, they can use thrive skills like cooperation, empathy, resilience, responsibility, communication, perseverance, mindfulness, and optimism to succeed in and contribute to their classroom and community.

About my class
