Most students with special needs learn skills by way of manipulating objects as opposed to paper/pencil methods. Applying functionally and culturally relevant life skills lessons to students is the aim of my program to provide students with the opportunity to not only grow in their independent living skills in the home and school both, but to give them the skills to connect with their land, community at large, and become contributing members of society.
